Here’s August! The month when the year, quietly and without announcing itself, begins to move from growing to giving back… flower seed production is in full mode. Goldfinches gracefully drop from the willow branches and teeter onto the tickseed heads. They are summertime acrobats as they hammer out the seed! 

Coreopsis tickseed reseeds so easily that it became a weed in my garden this summer. Its burst of yellow late spring was welcomed but quickly overshadowed annual seed germination. I many times reminded myself what I believe…Gardening is an adventure! 

Thanks everyone for thinking of me when you need flowers that contain a bit of prairie. I absolutely love creating for you!
